Peer Review

A peer review panel will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of your submitted cases for quality and thoroughness of the documentation as well as appropriateness of treatment, clinical judgment, and outcome. The panel will select three cases for oral peer review. The applicant will present the cases in “grand round” format with pertinent history, treatment, and outcome described. The examiners will discuss many topics with the applicant which may include perioperative factors, procedure criteria, alternative treatments and/or procedures, possible surgical and/or perioperative complications, etc. The applicant should be competent in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery to satisfy the rigorous requirements mandatory for Board Certification.
